The waterfall trail with its numerous viewing points and pulpits was built in 1900 and since then has brought nature enthusiasts up close to the Krimml waterfalls. the trail is well paved and is constantly maintained and serviced. Show waterfall trail on map

The lowest waterfall is a 10-15 minute walk from the parking lot. From there, the serpentine waterfall trail leads to the uppermost waterfall (walking time approx. 1.15 hours) and on into the Krimml Achental valley. Viewing platforms provide spectacular views of the thundering water masses of the Krimml Waterfalls. You can learn interesting facts at the information point, and a large selection of literature, DVDs and much more is also available at the ÖAV information point. Access to Kürsingerplatz has been made accessible for the disabled.

A game shooter pursued by a hunter is said to have dared to take the dangerous leap over it, thus saving his freedom and life, given the strictness of the laws against predatory marksmen at the time.
